Carrisa Plains Outfitters offers guided California dove hunts on private ranch land in the Carrisa Plains region of eastern San Luis Obispo County on California’s Central Coast. Our ranch provides excellent habitat for mourning dove, with expansive grasslands, agricultural fields, and water sources that attract strong dove populations during the season.
Dove hunting on California’s Central Coast is one of the most exciting and fast-paced upland hunting experiences in the state. Whether you’re an experienced wingshooter or new to dove hunting, our guided hunts provide access to productive fields and ideal shooting locations during peak migration periods.
Located about an hour east of Paso Robles, Carrisa Plains Outfitters offers authentic Central Coast dove hunting opportunities on large private ranch properties with excellent habitat and reliable bird movement during the season.
In addition to our dove hunts, Carrisa Plains Outfitters also offers wild pig hunts, quail hunts, and varmint hunts throughout the year on the ranch in San Luis Obispo County.

Includes: Transportation on the ranch and a personal guide. Lodging and food not included.

California dove season typically opens in early September with additional segments later in the fall and winter.
Daily bag limits and possession limits follow current California Department of Fish and Wildlife regulations.
Hunters should confirm season dates and limits prior to their hunt.

Hunters must possess:
• Valid California hunting license
• California upland game bird validation
• HIP validation (Harvest Information Program)These requirements apply to all California dove hunts and are issued through the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. Hunters are responsible for obtaining the proper licenses and validations before the hunt.
